Bruce Willis’ family started loving and supporting him even more after he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
Willis learned the exact health condition he has after his aphasia diagnosis progressed. Although FTD is considered incurable and advanced, he and his family keep their heads up and choose to look at the brighter side instead.
In this week’s issue of People, a source eased fans’ worries as they confirmed that the star’s family is helping him “live as full a life as possible” by doing several activities with him.
“The focus for Bruce is to keep him active. He has a busy schedule with activities every day. They make sure both his body and brain is exercised,” a family insider said.
Despite the shocking development in Bruce Willis’ health condition, his current battle keeps his family closer than ever.
His wife, Emma, is reportedly trying to make positive memories for their children, Mabel and Evelyn.
Amid Bruce Willis’ battle, the actor, his family, friends, and fans spread awareness just like how he has always been doing for decades. No matter how debilitating the disease is, Willis’ family is hopeful that the actor’s struggles will bring positivity in one way or another.
Bruce Willis’ Music Career
Willis is, definitely, best known for being an actor after starring in several hit movies. In the acting industry, he ultimately became one of the best action actors before his retirement, thanks to his hit flicks like “Cop Out,” “Red,” “The Expendables” franchise, “Die Hard,” “The Sixth Sense,” “Perfect Stranger,” “Mercury Rising,” and “Bandits,” to name a few.
But not most people knew about his blooming career as a singer.
In the 1980s, Willis started his music career under his alter ego, Bruno Radolini. Under the ackstar’s name, he released an 10-song album titled, “The Return of Bruno,” which featured musicians like the Temptations and Pointer Sister.

Bruce Willis’ R&B album wowed the public that it reached No. 14 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Its single, “Respect Yourself,” scored the No. 5 spot. The Staples Singers originally performed the track, but he and June Pointer remade it decades later.
After starting his music gig, he signed with Golden Wine Coolers, and it helped him land on several advertisements where he showed off his singing skills.
He also released his 1989 album, “If It Don’t Kill You, It Just Makes You Stronger” even after the “Die Hard” franchise took most of his time. Despite his acting career reaching the highest point, he did not leave his dream as a musician. He continued to perform with his blues band, the Accelerators, in the years thereafter.
Bruce Willis proved that he is also a great musician when his wife, Emma Heming, posted a video of him playing the harmonica while Derek Richard Thomas sang and played the guitar.
