Demi Lovato has been working in the music industry for over two decades now and it appears that the pop star would focus on telling the story behind the limelight in an upcoming documentary directed by themselves.
According to Rolling Stone, the “Substance” singer, who identifies as non-binary and uses “they/them/she/her” in pronouns, will be directing a documentary titled, “Child Star.”
The upcoming film will be focusing on the “highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight.” The former Disney star is fit to be the director as she has a lot of experience with fame at a very young age.
Aside from Lovato, the documentary would also feature “some of the world’s most famous former child stars,” but as of this writing, the production has yet to unveil the said people who would appear in the movie.

What to Expect on ‘Child Star’?
The film would feature interviews with some of the most popular former child stars in the industry and will also show some archival footage of them growing up.
Hulu Original’s SVP of documentaries and unscripted series Belisa Balaban issued a statement, saying Lovato’s personal experiences and relationships will also be tackled in the movie.
One of the reasons why they’re releasing the documentary is because their audience has been interested into knowing the truth behind pop culture and Lovato’s story suits what stories they wanted to release to the public.
As of this writing, a release date has yet to be announced but the outlet noted that it will come out anytime in 2024.
Demi Lovato has been working in the industry for more than 20 years now as they began by appearing on “Barney & Friends” in 2002 with Selena Gomez.
Following this, the singer had several projects with Disney like the “Princess Protection Program,” “Camp Rock,” and many more. They later launched a career in the music industry and has released numerous albums.
Despite the fame, Lovato suffered from bad experiences throughout her career like eating disorder, drug abuse, and more, but the musician has since recovered.
