Kendrick Lamar is going nowhere but up-not only is his album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” nominated for a Grammy Award, but “To Pimp a Butterfly” was named Top-Rated Album of all time.
According to Vibe, the 35-year-old rapper reached a new milestone as his 2015 album surpassed Radiohead’s “OK Computer” as the top-rated album of all time.
“To Pimp a Butterfly just surpassed – OK Computer to become #1 in the top albums of all time,” Rate Your Music announced via Twitter.
“This is the first time in nearly a decade that Rate Your Music has had a new #1 album.”
“To Pimp A Butterfly” is Lamar’s third studio album and is considered one of his greatest works, after all, it was equally well-received, rated, and top-performing.
It was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards.
However, Rate Your Music did not base its ratings on the reception or awards. It allows music lovers to “rate, review, ad discover acclaimed work,” unlike other sites like Metacritic and more.
It received an average score of 4.34 out of 5 based on 58,322 ratings, reports say.

This is but one of many of Lamar’s achievements. The Compton native has won 14 Grammy Awards, scoring wins in some of the biggest and most prominent categories in the award show.
He has also received accolades from his home state of California for his contribution to music. He was given the California State Senate’s Generational Icon Award, and he was presented with the key to the city in 2016.
His next body of work, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” is set to follow the footsteps of its Grammy-awarded predecessors this coming 2023 Grammy Awards.
According to reports, it marks his first new release in five years and was one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2022.
Although it is up against some of the biggest album releases, like DJ Khaled’s “God Did”, “Jack Harlow’s “Come Home the Kids Miss You,” “I Never Liked You” by Future, and “It’s Almost Dry” by Pusha T, Lamar’s chances of taking the golden gramophone are just as high.
