Last Sunday’s Super Bowl LVII halftime show by Rihanna garnered headlines, but she also faced criticism.
Viewers saw some of the top NFL players go head-to-head on Sunday in Glendale, Arizona, to determine who would win this year’s Super Bowl title. Philadelphia Eagles were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs, 38-35.
Recently, though, viewers from all around the world focused more on Rihanna’s halftime performance than the actual game.
The “We Found Love” singer gave her fans a 13-minute performance of her legendary hit songs on the biggest platform of the athletic year.
The soon-to-be mother of two sported a vivid red latex PVC bustier and a jumpsuit to match. Through a subtly revealed baby bulge, she also revealed during her performance that she was expecting her second child.
Fans were happy to see Rihanna end her six-year hiatus and return to music, even though it’s no secret that the singer’s halftime performance split sentiments online.
Being an entrepreneur, Rihanna has been so busy that she has spent most of her time working on her Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, and Savage x Fenty lines.
While all was going on, some Super Bowl concert attendees weren’t impressed.
This is due to the song “All of the Lights,” which was written and performed by Kanye West, being included on Rihanna’s music list.

To the dismay of the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism, Rihanna performed the chorus of the song during her halftime performance from his 2010 album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”
“Rihanna’s selection of a Kanye West song on one of the largest platforms in the world is terribly inappropriate,” a group representative stated to Newsweek.
After all, Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband has made some derogatory remarks about Jews and refuted the Holocaust’s historical veracity. Due to his anti-Semitic rants and other public outbursts, Kanye has been banned in Hollywood. His empire has now collapsed as a result of major labels dropping him.
“This is not a man who deserves such a glamorous platform. This is a blunder for Rihanna and her handlers, and they must make clear that they do not wish audiences worldwide to associate her with West and his vile views.”
However, despite being canceled, a source told The Sun that Kanye’s long-term collaborator still backs him and doesn’t give a damn about the critics he has.
“She doesn’t care if people are insulted by her paying respect to him during the Super Bowl,” the person claimed.
“Even if she doesn’t always agree with what he has to say or his political beliefs,” they said, “She still supports him.”
Many people even believed Kanye would join her on stage so they could perform their popular song together, but they were astonished when he didn’t appear.
Because it was her moment and she wanted to announce her pregnancy without a guest, she “would never have dragged him up on stage.”
